It was a cold rainy day. Adam and I were jumping in puddles on the street of Halloway. With that fun came an end, when we stumbled across a house on the corner of the street. A house that never used to be there.
You could have mistaken that house for a garbage dump. But it was an old shack, completely wood except the windows of course. They were glass, but you could hardly see through with all the dust covering them. Some were broken. The door was slightly open and a dim light shone through. Adam pushed me on the yard. Then he went up to the door knocked and ran on the street. I was still on the yard. In a split second it seemed like it got darker outside and the air felt cooler. Then a dark figure emerged from the door, and it was as black as night. It stood there on the porch gazing at me with it's eyes. They were as red as wine. I felt paralyzed for that moment. And a cold shiver trickled down my spine.
Then he slipped inside his shack and closed the door. Finally the feeling came back to my body. I looked back to see Adam walking back to the house. I shouted out to him, "Hold your horses, I'm not going in there!"He looked back at me but said nothing. Then he opened the door steadily. But I wasn't going to stand there all day. So I decided to go with him. I walked up behind him and slid into the shack. There was a long red carpet that seemed to go on forever. Then above me I saw a chandelier covered in cobwebs. We put a stone by the foot of the door to make sure it would stay open.
We went further into the shack, with only candle light guiding us. It was mostly empty with only a couple of antiques on some pillars. We past a dark room and in the corner was the dark figure. It seemed like it was looking down at the floor which had a big hole in the center of the room. Then it's skeleton like hands motion toward us. His head lifted up and he started to dart forward in our direction. Swoosh! His long black torn up cape was dragging across the floor. We ran as fast as we could but we couldn't find our exit. So we kept on running through the house trying to find an escape route. But we were locked in with the ghouly ghost. We eventually ended up in the room with the enormous hole in the center. As the figure came closer we panicked and we ran to the opposite sides of the room. He ran up to Adam grabbed him by the neck. Before I could see what was going to happen next they had been sucked in to the hole. I started crying. And I thought I would never stop. Until the house started to shake. I scurried out of the room and found an opening, I jumped outside and hit the ground hard. When I glanced at the house and saw that it started to sink into the hole. The earth started to shake and immediately stopped. It became very quiet.
I looked up at the empty lot and saw nothing. Not even a blade of grass. The house on the corner of Halloway street would be gone and never will be seen again for it never even existed.

That was a preety cool story. I wonder where you got the idea. It would be cool if you gave us a better picture of the villian.
i agree, its prety cool. it kind sound like that movie monster house. with the whole "hole in he ground". but personaly, i like the fact that you dont really know waht the peson looks like. its makes you wounder more
I really liked the theme of your story = ). It had great detail and I like how you are curious about what the person looks like.
