Happy New Year, guys! I hope you are enjoying your winter vacation. Anyone up to anything special or unusual? I'm going on a short cruise in a few days, so hopefully I'll come back to school with a tan, no stress, and ready to buckle down for.....yes, the FCAT. Get ready, because the next six weeks are going to be chock full or work and writing.
In the spirit of a new year, I'm requiring all of the classes to come up with a new name and design for their blog beore my FETC conference at the end of January. I'm going to be showcasing your blogs at a state conference, and I want us to put our best blogging foot forward.
So I want you to (maturely) discuss any new color scheme/mascot/design/name you'd like to have on your blog. Post your ideas to the blog, and then comment on your classmates' suggestions in a constructive manner. Really jazz it up!
Here's the hard part: you have to agree as a group. So if someone doesn't think your ideas are the best, that's OK. (I have ideas shot down all the time!) But work hard to be persuasive to convince everyone, including me. (As the supreme ruler of this blogland, I have final say on what's final. So no "gangsta" "ballin'" or otherwise misspelled/misused terminology, OK?)
The class whose blog is the most original by January 12 wins 5 extra points on their blog assignment for third quarter.

Heyy guys!!!! I'm sure you all have great ideas for the blog design, but here is mine. Something that has to do with cold weather and snow could be cute, since we live in Florida, and it is always hot!!! We could have a play on words for the title like, 5th Hour Knows How To CHILL, with a snowflake. The background could be snowboards, ski's, snow, mountains, etc...
Good idea how about for a mascot a Pic of all of us.
Our title should be something like "Talking is Our Forte", since we know we always love to talk about everything in class! :)
I also liked how Ms. Lambard said "blogland". Maybe we could build around that. Its just a thought.
I think we should go with abz's idea i think its a great idea. And for a mascot we can have something like the abominable snowman.
Maybe we can do something involving beaches or the ocean? I really like the "winter" theme too.
Yaaaa!!!! I love Amandas idea!!! and if you guys all want i have this thing that i can do and i can make chill have like ice on it. It'll be pretty sweet. ill put the pic on the blog and tell me if you guys lik it
I think Amanda's idea is cool because it would be interesting to have a different idea like snow in Florida. I also think a play on words would be a good way to make our blog stand out.
i thing i good idea could be something like "night at the movies" we could have a miving picture as the backround, and have it look like a movie theatre. it could have cool pics like popcorn, and soda.
